MMA

The first question is "Why would a rational human being sign up to be a MMA fighter?" Like stated in the video, I think a lot of people do it for a social status. Guys want to feel masculine and being an MMA fighter is a good way to do that. There are many dangerous sports that can give people that masculine feeling. Such as bull riding, extreme stunting, running of the bulls, and there are many more. Maybe some of those athletes could care less about the "masculine" figure they get from their sport. Most of them enjoy getting an adrenaline rush. They know that there could be many dangerous consequences and they love that.
What will come after MMA? Will there be something worse and more dangerous to come evolving from MMA fighting? The Romans had men fight against lions in the Colosseum. Men also fought each other, using swords and other weapons. Maybe we will bring that back, have people fight with weapons.
MMA is the fasting growing sport in the world. More and more people want to have the label of an "fighter".  Its a fun sport to watch, people love violence. But will things go to far with what comes next?

Values

Everyone has different values in life, but I think a lot of people have many of the same ones. Mortality and humanitarianism is one of the biggest values. Religious faith and following God is the most important thing. Along with that I think a value everyone should have is  to make others life better. You should try to make the people you love happy.
Personal achievement is the second value. I want to be successful in everything I participate in. In school, sports, and life. If you want to be successful you can then provide for the people you love and make everyone happy.
Individualism is making yourself happy. If you are happy its easier to make other people happy and its easier to make the world a better place. You need to focus on your individual success sometimes to have a good life.
Work is a big value. People should find a career that they like so that it doesn't necessarily feel like work. If you are dedicated and are a hard worker you can find a job. There are people out there that are in desperate need of money but don't go find a job, but instead collect a check from the government. That takes away money from the people with a lot of money who put in a lot of time to make that money. Like I said, some people who need money bad don't even work. But there are people out there who are well of and wouldn't have to work another day in their life but they do just because they like it or they need to stay busy. Which person has the better values? The second one obviously.
Last but not least, freedom. The United States is known for "Freedom", which is true we are free. We have the freedom to choose what we want to do. You get to choose your religion and your religious practices. The government cant tell you what to do in those cases. But our freedom is shrinking so we need to use the freedom we have and be thankful for it.

Card GAME

  • If you could describe the game in one word, what would it be? Unique.
  • What did you expect at the beginning of the game? That it was going to be confusing
  • When did you realize that something was wrong? When it was all over and Mr. Reints told us about his trick.
  • How did you deal with it? Laughed, didn't affect me as much because I stayed in the same spot the whole time.
  • How did not being able to speak contribute to what you were feeling? I myself didn't need to say much but it was definitely making some other people mad and frustrated.
  •  Is my title above appropriate for the game of "culture."  Why or why not? Barnga has to do with cultural awareness. Players must realize the differences in rules to make the game work right.
  •  Is a universal language and set of customs necessary for world peace and harmony? There are a lot of misunderstandings because of different languages but I don't think it affects world peace too much.
  •  What can a simple card game teach us about our culture? Without actually knowing sometimes we just assume other people are wrong.
